Wiki — Getting Started (Level 1–20)
This guide follows the official Lineage II Gracia Final Epilogue early-game flow: where each race starts, what the Newbie Guide does, and what you should focus on before your 1st class transfer at level 20.
Starting villages by race
- Human: Talking Island Village
- Elf: Elven Village
- Dark Elf: Dark Elven Village
- Orc: Orc Village
- Dwarf: Dwarven Village
- Kamael: Isle of Souls (Kamael Village)
Newbie Guide (Newbie Helper)
In every starting area you will find a Newbie Guide. The tutorial is meant to lead you through your first hunting spots and basic systems (skills, shots, and quest direction).
- Follow the tutorial prompts for early progression.
- Pick up basic hunting quests around your village for steady Adena and EXP.
- Keep your skills updated — missing skill levels slows you down more than weak armor.
Recommended progression (1–20)
- Level 1–6: hunt very close to your village; learn targeting, shots, and basic skills.
- Level 6–15: follow village quests and tutorial guidance; upgrade your weapon when possible.
- Level 15–20: move to stronger nearby hunting grounds and prepare for the 1st class transfer quest.
Early gear
Up to level 20 you mainly use No-Grade gear. Avoid over-spending: after the 1st class transfer you transition into D-Grade.
- Weapon first (biggest leveling impact).
- Then basic armor; jewelry is usually a lower priority early on.
Your next milestone: 1st Class Transfer (Level 20)
You can start most 1st class transfer quests at level 18, but you can only complete the transfer at level 20. Each transfer uses a race/class quest chain (listed on Page 2).
Next: 1st Class Transfer (Level 20) — quests and starting NPCs.
